Island camping adventures inspired this piece.  It is one of my favorite places to camp.  Being on an island with no one around except my family, friends, and furbabies.  At sunset, we usually start a campfire, have dinner that always tastes better out in nature, and then we sit, watching.  We watch whatever comes and slowly passes by, especially the sunlit mountains.  Great Northern is one of them.  I love the way it always glows in the distance.  I’ve sat many hours watching the sun reflect off the steep mountain and then settle to rest as it always darkens.  The glow is one of my happy places. I’ve included my favorite plants: the Huckleberry, Bear Grass, and Paintbrush.
