Each piece began with a person I love, but somewhere in the process, it became something more. Through painting them, I began to see not only who they are, but how they have shaped me—how love, in all its forms, leaves an imprint on the body, the heart, and the way we move through the world.

huckleberry lessons
The land has always been my first teacher.
Growing up in the mountains of northwest Montana, I learned to listen—not through words, but through observation, stillness, and time. The way fire gives way to new growth. The way rivers carve their own path. The quiet resilience of plants and animals that belong exactly where they are.
