My deep love of the Huckleberry and my husband inspired this piece. I am obsessed with finding Huckleberry Heaven in the woods. After a long day of picking, your hands are permanently stained deep purple with the lovely juices of the berry, much like your heart is when you find the right love. My heart is stained with the love of my life as my hands are with the berry. The Folgers can in the background is a childhood memory of always picking with a coffee can. I don’t know why, but it was always the way. Of course, all the plants painted in the piece are Huckleberries.
