This is the piece that is most near and dear to my heart. I grew up next to a small spring-fed lake. Countless memories of my Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins reside there. I flipped through all my phases of life at this small lake and couldn’t be more thankful for this spot. I often listen to the loons that pass over in the morning with their unique call and think of them loving the lake as much as I do. I love that loons mate for life and always state their presence when they are near. They have such a beautiful song. The double rainbow reminds me of the magic feeling of Sampson and the lifelong memories that are a treasure chest in my heart. Huckleberries are painted at the bottom of the piece to highlight my love for this place and the memories of my life.
